MyCIRQL (the "App") is designed with your privacy as the highest priority. The App does not send the information you register to any external server, and the developer cannot access it. This policy explains how the App handles information.
1. Information We Handle
The App handles the following information that you enter and register yourself:
- Names of people, shops, and places; phonetic readings; and relationships
- Contact details such as phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, postal codes, and workplaces
- Dates such as birthdays, anniversaries, and dates of passing
- Photos, notes, and categories
All of this is information you register within the App. The App never collects information without your knowledge.
2. Where Information Is Stored
The information you register is stored only on your device and in your own private cloud area. On iPhone, iPad, or Mac, this is your own iCloud (your private area); on Android, it is your own Google account backup, depending on your device settings. No third party, including the developer, can view or obtain this information.
3. Sending Information Externally
As a rule, the App does not send information externally. There is only one exception:
- Auto-filling an address from a postal code: Only when you choose to look up an address by entering a postal code, the App sends that postal code to an external address-lookup service. Only the postal code is sent; your name and other personal information are not sent.
4. Use of Device Features (Permissions)
With your permission, the App may use the following device features. They are used only for purposes within the App, and nothing obtained is sent externally.
- Camera: To take a photo on the spot and add it to a person or place, and to scan items such as business cards.
- Photos: To add photos from your device to an album.
- Contacts: To import contacts from your device for registration.
- Face ID / Touch ID / Passcode (on Android: biometric authentication / device PIN or pattern): To unlock the app when you enable the launch lock (identity verification).
- Notifications: To show reminders such as birthdays, anniversaries, and dates of passing.
Text recognition (OCR) of business cards and the like is performed entirely on your device; images and recognized text are never sent externally.
5. Integration with Standard Apps
The App has no built-in feature to send email or make calls on its own. Only when you tap "Call," "Email," "Open in Maps," and so on does your device's standard Phone, Mail, Messages, or map app open. When you choose "Open in Maps," the address is passed to the map service you use (Apple Maps or Google Maps). Any actions after that are handled by those standard apps and by you.
6. Provision to Third Parties
The App never provides or sells your information to any third party. It does not serve advertising or track your usage.
7. Managing and Deleting Data
You can edit or delete the information you register at any time within the App. If you delete (uninstall) the App, the data on your device is removed. Data synced to iCloud is handled according to your Apple device settings and iCloud settings; data saved to your Google account backup is handled according to your Google account and backup settings.
8. In-App Purchases
The App offers a one-time "Premium" purchase. Payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and the App and its developer never obtain or store payment details such as credit card numbers. The only thing the App keeps is whether you have purchased Premium, which is stored on your device (and included in the iCloud/Google account backup described above).
9. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be changed as needed. Any change takes effect when it is posted on this page.
